In underground and multi-level concrete parking garages, satellite and cellular signals are blocked and unavailable.

Another navigation system is necessary.

Waldo uses VLF (very low frequency) beacons installed in the parking garage, and a circuit board or ASIC that integrates with the vehicle navigation system.

The vehicle reports its identity, position, direction and speed every 100 milliseconds with 30 cm accuracy.

VLF signals penetrate the concrete parking structure and are not affected by changes in the environment or objects like moving vehicles.

Waldo integrates with the vehicle navigation system to park it automatically in a multi-level parking garage.

Waldo is a critical component of the autonomous vehicle future.
